Service Manager

We are a growing, three-location powersports and equipment dealership that is committed to bringing the outdoors to our customers. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Service Manager to round out the awesome service team at our Tomahawk location.

The ideal candidate:

  • Is an experienced Service Manager or have management experience to run the service department as a separate business within the dealership
  • Goes above and beyond to exceed customer expectations
  • Has the drive to improve self and business through various technical education programs
  • Is reliable with a strong work ethic and able to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Has a passion for powersports and/or marine

Job duties include:

  • Lead the Technician and Service Writer team and encourage them to meet their daily and weekly goals. Work to develop a sense of “team” in the service department and across other departments.
  • Continue to refine service department processes to enhance the customers’ experience with the service department and the dealership
  • Work with the Service Writer team to coordinate incoming and outgoing equipment at the dealership for service work.
  • Ensure Service Writers are filling out all work orders with required information
  • Follow-up on availability of parts ordered
  • Make sure each piece of equipment repaired has been inspected for other issues using appropriate Maintenance Inspection Checklist for that equipment. Make sure customers have been notified if additional service items have been discovered and consent has been given to the service department to complete additional work
  • Check to ensure all equipment repairs have been tested under difficult operating conditions and the problems stated on the work order have been properly repaired
  • Oversee warranty claims making sure that 100% of labor and parts are recovered
  • Meet with Management Team regularly for department goals, projects and improvements. Discuss marketing and sale promotion needs and opportunities for the department

Applicant qualifications:

  • Service Manager experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and organized skills (required)
  • Ability to use a computer and current software programs (required)
  • Mechanical experience (helpful)
  • A positive, helpful friendly attitude is essential

Powersports Technician

Job Summary: The Technician is responsible for building, repairing, and servicing machines. They must be committed to staying up-to-date on warranty policies, unit safety updates, and product service trainings. They should enjoy learning new things, solving new challenges and being part of a kick-a#% team. They need to have strong time management skills, keep a level head, develop creative solutions, and provide strong customer service. Because that’s our middle name. (Ok, not really but you get the idea). This is a full-time position, with hours ranging from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Thursday, Friday 8:00-6:00, and Saturday 8:00-3:00. The position is 40 hours a week, with a possibility for overtime based on workload.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair powersports and power equipment with efficiency and accuracy
  • Accurately and clearly document repair findings and steps taken in repair orders
  • Work with the service manager by providing updates on the status of your work, estimates, communicating issues on machines, etc.
  • Work closely with the parts & service manager when parts need to be ordered
  • Accurately account for all time and materials on each project
  • Certified to work on major OEM brands is a plus
  • Listen to customer and provide recommendations to meet their needs while achieving the goals of the dealership
  • Keep work area and service department tidy
  • Be committed to routinely training and staying current on service bulletins and certifications from the brands we carry

Qualifications for position include:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Own set of tools
  • Powersports/small engine service experience
  • Capable of lifting up to 70lbs
  • 2-year technical education or 3-4 years of relevant on-the-job shop experience fixing units from major OEM brands
  • Powersports brand certifications preferred
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
  • Awesome attitude, team player

Marine Service Technician
